OMAHA — For the first time in six months, a survey of supply managers in Nebraska and eight other midwest states showed growth.
The Mid-American Business Conditions Index jumped to 48.3 in January after sitting at 39.5 in December.
A score above 50 suggests growth, while below shows decline.
Falling agriculture and energy commodity prices and an uncertain global economy have been blamed for the dip.
