LINCOLN — The same week as Mike Riley found out what freshman would come to his program, he loses two players.
Wide receiver Lane Hovey and defensive lineman Joe Keels are both transferring.
Hovey is headed to Montana for his final season. He started five games in 2015 and caught 12 passes, including one for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Keels is off to Eastern Michigan. The reserve is a graduate transfer.
Both are eligible to play immediately
