LINCOLN — A campaign has been launched by the group Gambling with the Good Life to prevent an effort to legalize gambling at licensed horse tracks in the state.
Circulators are trying to gather support proposing three measures in November. These would allow casinos, create a commission to oversee them and require casinos to pay a one-time licensing fee.
Gambling with the Good Life is trying to stop the movement. The group is backed by Governor Ricketts and former Nebraska Coach Tom Osborne.
