DONIPHAN — A malfunctioning smoke generator is blamed for a fire that damaged a butcher’s shop in Doniphan this week.
The owner of Steve’s Butcher Shop says he had finished hanging slabs of meat two hours before the fire began. No injuries were reported.
All of the meat needed to be thrown out and the business is temporarily closed.
