NORTH LOUP — This weekend at the Community Building in North Loup, the Happy Jack Chalk Mine is holding a couple of contests for a fundraiser.
The first is a Mr. Debonair Chalk Miner. Three contestants will compete for the title and folks can vote by donating money. One dollar equals one vote.
In addition, a chili and chicken noodle soup cook-off. The winners receive cash prizes and a crowd favorite award.
The free-will donation begins at 5:30 P.M. on Saturday.
