CHARLESTON, SC — It was a shutout victory to open the season for Nebraska baseball.
The team topped the College of Charleston, 4-0, on Friday.
Colton Howell and two relievers combined to limit the cougars to just two hits and strikeout eight batters. On the other side, the Husker offense managed ten hits on the afternoon.
All four runs came in the seventh and eighth innings.
These two teams play game two of their three-game set on Saturday.
