LINCOLN — Some changes are needed to the proposed right-to-farm bill in Nebraska.
That’s the opinion of the state’s farm bureau which wants the measure placed in state statute, rather than the constitution.
The group claims the current proposal doesn’t clearly define agriculture and would rather leave that to the courts to interpret than the legislature.
If the measure is approved by lawmakers, it would appear on the November general election ballot for voters to make the final decision.
