OMAHA — For the second time in as many months, the economy for Nebraska and eight other regional states has shown growth.
The Mid-American Business Conditions Index cimbed to 50.5 in February. It was 48.3 in January.
A score above 50 shows economic growth, while below suggests decline.
The surveyors from Creighton University say a strong U.S. dollar and an economic weakness among the nations chief trading partners are the main reasons for a restraint on growth.
The figures are gathered from a survey of supply managers in the nine states.
