LINCOLN — The Nebraska Department of Revenue says the state collected about $279 million in February.
That only about 1% higher than what was projected a year ago.
Net sales-and-use taxes were below expectations, while net individual, corporate and micellaneous taxes were higher than estimated.
Overall, the state has collected $2.7 billion in the last year, which is on line with the certified forecast. The state projections were released by the Nebraska Forecasting Advisory Board in October.
