ORD — In an effort to simplify how it leases farm land, the Valley County Board of Supervisors ischanging the lengths of leases.
Now, much of the county land will come up for re-leasing in 2018. This includes the property behind the Mortensen Industrial Site, north of Ord.
Last year, the county board changed the lease on that property from three years to one because a couple of the businesses at the site were looking to expand.
The February 2018 date matches when the leases are up for other pieces of county land.
