KEARNEY — LouPlatte Conference Members will meet on Wednesday to discuss the future of Kearney Catholic in the conference.
The Stars are currently the only non-public school in the group.
This makes some of the schools say there is a competitive advantage for Kearney Catholic due to its ability to recruit, offer scholarships, and not be bound by the same socio-economic obligations as its public counterparts.
This meeting comes while the NSAA conducts a committee to discuss challenges with public and non-public co-participation.
The other schools in the LouPlatte Conference are Ord, Arcadia/Loup City, St. Paul, Adams Central, Doniphan-Trumbull, Wood River, Ravenna, Gibbon, and Centura.
