GRAND ISLAND — A group of 60 doctors have retained two firms to work toward a plan of bringing a new hospital to Grand Island.
The firms will help the group figure out how to handle operational, environmental and technological aspects of the building. The plans for the second hospital in south-central Nebraska were announced last June.
The hope is to have about 50 beds in the facility and have it completed within two years.
