LOUP CITY — A dodgeball tournament is coming to Loup City this week.
The event is held by 7th graders at the high school with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Kim Henry teaches the class and says the district has quite the connection to this charity.
“There’s been a few kids to benefit from the Make-A-Wish foundation,” she says. “We always make sure to teach the kids what exactly Make-A-Wish is about, but they have actually seen it in action with some of the kids that we have at Loup City.”
So far, about ten teams have registered to play and more are expected to sign up before the tournament starts.
The hop is to raise about $300. The dodgeballs start flying at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 19th at the Loup City High School North Gym.
