LINCOLN — For another year, a bill that would allow motorcyclists to ride without a helmet in the state has failed in the Nebraska Legislature.
The measure would have affected riders 21 and older, but fell three votes short of the 33 required to end debate and force a vote.
Supporters say riders should have the right to choose, while opponents worry that a repeal would lead to rising medicaid costs.
