ORD — The Valley County Health System Board of Trustees has been recognized by the Nebraska Hospital Association for earning education certification.
The Hospital Trustee Community Accountability Education Certification Program allows boards to learn more effective ways to govern. Nine other hospitals were recognized.
Also of note, VCHS was one of three boards to take additional steps to become NHA Board-Certified. This means they have met governance standards set by the organization.
The Valley County Health System Board of Trustees is made up of seven members and holds a public meeting on the third Wednesday of every month.
