ORD — A winter storm is expected to hit central Nebraska on Wednesday.
It’s supposed to come through about mid-day and last for around 12 hours.
Temperatures are supposed to hover right around freezing which leads Mike Moritz of the National Weather Service in Hastings to still question what kind of precipitation will hit the area.
“In this weather system, the devil is in the details of that change over to snow and where exactly that happens,” he says. “So, that’s still evolving as we go.”
The region covering Ord, Loup City and Greeley could receive up to three to four inches of snow, depending on where the temperature drops and by how much. Wind gusts are expected to move north at 30 to 40 MPH.
Parents and school officials are urged to use caution when picking children up on Wednesday afternoon.
