ORD — A presentation at the Valley County Health System Old Rehab Department focused on geriatric health this week.
Specifically, warning signs to look for and address with seniors.
Michele Taylor works in the Heritage Department for Seniors at VCHS. She says these tips are particularly helpful for those treating these patients.
“Where those individuals might be coming into a nursing home, into the hospital, the clinic, into our counseling agency, the heritage program,” she explains “What are the warning signs, thingg you need to be aware of, to make sure they are safe and stay healthy.”
Taylor used a street light system to explain what to watch for. Specifically focusing on yellow-light signs, which could be warnings of unhealthy behavior with these patients.
