ORD — An Elyria woman has pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace as part of an agreement in Valley County Court.
Chelsey Welton, 34, had been charged with third degree assault, domestic assault, trespassing and criminal mischief stemming from a January incident with her ex-boyfriend.
The no contest plea means she does not deny the charge, but does not admit it either.
Welton avoids a possible penalty of a year in prison, more than a $1,000 fine or both. Instead, she was fined $100 for the incident.
