GIBBON — A man is dead after an accident near I-80 near Gibbon.
Matthew Schmidt was heading east last week when he lost control, went off the road and hit a tree. The Wisconsin native was taken to a Kearney Hospital where he died over the weeekend.
He was 25 years old.
