BURWELL — Garfield County is now part of the Play, Clean, Go campaign.
The organization is based out of Minnesota and helps prevent the spread of invasive plants.
This issue has hit central Nebraska hard this year. Goose Lake Wildlife Management Area in Chambers has been closed twice after Eurasian Watermilfoil spread throughout the area.
Play, Clean, Go encourages removing plants and mud from all vehicles, people and pets before leaving to help prevent situations like what happened at Good Lake.
