BROKEN BOW — The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce says two counterfeit bills have been received by a local business in the last five months.
Bruning State Bank notified the chamber of the $10 bills they had received from a local business.
With these bills, the front looks real, bu the back is darker than it should be. Furthermore, the “10” in the bottom right-hand corner does not change from green to gold. Instead, it is brown.
No water mark is on these fake bills, either.
Business owners in Broken Bow and the surrounding area are asked to look out for similar bills during transactions.
