ORD — Ord residents will have a chance to vote to re-up a sales tax for economic development as part of the Nebraska Primary on May 10th.
The community approved a 1% local option sales tax in 2001 that was set for a 15-year period. That expires at the end of this year.
The tax is used to fund various economic development projects in the city. If approved, it would begin the next 15-year period in 2017.
