GRAND ISLAND — A state veterinarian has lifted a quarantine at Fonner Park in Grand Island.
Three racehorses were monitored for 21 days and no further cases of the virus were confirmed.
One infected horse had to be euthanized and the other two are receiving treatment.
The virus forced 750 of 850 horses at the venue to have to remain during the quarantine.
