ORD — A bid of $10,200 has been accepted by the Valley County Health System Board to sell the building that was the home of the North Loup Clinic.
The facility closed in March due to costly repairs and a low number of patient visits.
The Board received two other bids, as well. One was for $6,005 and the other was $5,250.
VCHS said it didn’t want to wait for a higher bid because the building needs repairs now and the hospital could not, in good conscience, let it deteriorate further.
The building was bought in 1994 for about $30,000.
