BURWELL — This weekend in Burwell, a bull riding tour comes to the fairgrounds.
The L.J. Jenkins Bull Riding Tour 2016 is traveling the midwest and set to stop in central Nebraska. Jenkins says Burwell is an obvious stop for the tour and thinks folks will love what the show has to offer.
“You;re going to see bull riders from about seven different states coming to Burwell to ride,” he explains. “It’s a bull riding with some entertainment. We’re going to have a funny man there, telling jokes.”
“It’s going to be the best-of-the-best,” Jenkins adds. “It’s not going to be like your local amateur bull riding, we’re going to have some really good bulls there.”
“It only comes around once a year and, hopefully, we can come back.”
Other stops on the tour have included Missouri and South Dakota, with trips to Texas and Oklahoma still to come. All of the proceeds go to 4 The Cure, an organization for breast cancer research.
It all begins at 7:30 P.M. on Saturday, May 28th.
