ARCADIA — Folks got together in Arcadia this week to assist a local family.
Bronc Hurlburt was born in January and has suffered from AV Malformation since. This happens when blood vessels become snarled and cause an abnormal connection between arteries and veins.
Over the past several months, multiple doctor visits in Omaha have taken their toll. That’s why Rolen Sell and the Arcadia United Methodist Church decided to get the community involved with a supper plus auction.
And they responded.
“The whole community has come behind,” Sell explains. “It’s initiated by the church, but we’ve got just tons of people that are just community members.”
“Members of all the other churches, too,” he adds.
Tables upon tables at the Arcadia school gym were filled with items. The hope is to ease the burden on the Hurlburt family, which still may need to pay for surgeries in the future.
