DES MOINES, IA — A report from the U.S Department of Agriculture shows that rain has slowed planting in Nebraska, but crops aren’t too far behind normal rates.
Corn is at 96%, which is near the five-year average. Meanwhile, soybeans are at 73%, behind the 82% average.
Those numbers are on par with national figures. 94% of corn has been planted across the country, which is ahead of schedule.
