MADISON — The Madison City Council has set July 19th as the date of a recall election for the mayor.
Alvin Brandl has been criticized for his appointments to city boards. A document filed in Madison County says the mayor should be recalled because his conduct in appointing officials has resulted in “needless conflict, confrontation and the inability of the city to function properly.”
Brandl counters that the city is doing well and it’s his job to make those appointments.
