ORD — This weekend, a poker run and auction are set to help raise money for the flag at Aubles Pond in Ord.
The event begins at 11:00 A.M. on June 11th at the Ord Vets Club and travel to the Arcadia Legion Club to Haney’s Dugout in Sargent to the Calamus Lodge and back to Ord.
Dan Petska helps organize the afternoon. He says events like this really help keep the flag up. “They are roughly $1,300 a piece,” he explains. “And we’ll go through two, maybe three per year.”
As far as the auction, that begins at 5:00 P.M. Items include a weed eater, Yeti cups, gift certificates from area businesses and more.
Those who don’t want to participate in the poker run can purchase a poker hand for $15, while the cost to participate is $25.
