Valley County District Court Judge Karin Noakes sentenced Kyle Ross to 3 to 5 years for violating terms of his probation on DUI charges, a Class 2 felony. Ross must serve 18 months minus the 293 previous days in prison before again being eligible for parole.
In other District Court news, Keith Thibodaux was sentenced to 9 to 12 months in County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony. Thibodaux was charged with transporting heroin and methamphetamines from Colorado to Ord. He was granted credit for 136 days already served and is required to undergo 9 to 12 months of post-release supervision.
Lastly, Stephen Frazier pleaded No Contest to Assault in the Third Degree, a Class One Misdemeanor. Frazier was arrested on December 11, 2016. Judge Noakes sentenced him to 30 days in County Jail and to pay costs. He was credited for 30 previous days served.
