The Board of Trustees of Valley County Health System met last night. Included on the agenda was discussion of VCHS finances. The hospital had positive net income in January and remains “in the black” for the fiscal year.
CEO Nancy Glaubke recognized the entire board for completing their continuing education requirements in 2016 and presented each member with a certificate.
VCHS received an award in the Interactive Media and New Website category last month at the annual Ord Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony. The award was accepted by Beth Knapinski, who also received the award for Dynamic Young Community Leader.
And Chief Nursing Officer Vicki Bredthauer told the board that the Valley County Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of a new ambulance, which will replace the older of VCHS’s two current ambulances.
The Valley County Health System Board of Trustees meets again on March 15.
