A 69-year-old woman is dead after a crash Wednesday in Grand Island.
G.I. police said Ivelynn Dwinell, of G.I., pulled out from the Olive Garden onto Allen Drive around 2:00 p.m. A Chrysler 300, driven by a 25-year-old Larry Roebuck Jr., was heading south and hit the woman’s Buick LeSabre as she turned onto the street.
Captain Jim Duering said CPR was performed on scene and Dwinell was taken to CHI St. Francis Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Roebuck was also taken to the hospital, but Duering didnt know the extent of his injuries.
Duering said Dwinell failed to yield to traffic, but police have not completed accident reconstruction.
No charges have been filed.
