Region 26 Emergency Management and 911 held a weather symposium on Saturday afternoon at the Trotter Event Center in Ord.
About a dozen booths were set up, displaying a variety of weather-related issues, from what people need to know when preparing for an emergency to what to expect from particular cloud formations.
Presenters talked about severe weather, including Landspout Tornadoes, Tornado Look-alikes, Straight Line Winds, and The EF Scale.
Guests included NTVs Kent Boughton, Dale Kaminski of Storm View Live, and Bill Taylor from the North Platte Weather Service.
Folks learned a lot and had a good time, too.
