Valley County Health System (VCHS) Biller/Coder Kryssiah Felton has been named the VCHS Employee of the Quarter. Felton was nominated by her coworkers for exemplifying the VCHS values of integrity, compassion, ownership, respect, and trust. VCHS CEO Nancy Glaubke presented Felton with the award on April 25.
Felton’s nomination read:
“Kryssiah started off working as the Scheduler in the Clinic and did a great job! Last summer, she accepted a new position where she would be putting patient charges into the system, as well as following up on any insurance issues (big part of the job!). Since she came into this new position, she has regularly been asked to substitute when someone was absent either in the Clinic or Specialty Clinic scheduling desk. She never hesitated and filled in anywhere and whenever necessary.
Kryssiah takes pride in her work and demonstrates our Corporate Values on a regular basis. Her willingness to help when absences occur is only part of her helping attitude. When someone needs her able bodied assistance, she volunteers without any hesitation. She is dependable and has a great sense of humor. She is a great asset to not only our department, but VCHS as a whole.
Thank you, Kryssiah, for your help and positive attitude!!”
