MPCC Mens Team Finishes Regional Champs and Moon Champion Bareback Rider
The Mid Plains Community College Rodeo Team finished up their season in Dickinson, North Dakota and celebrated a win as the Great Plains Regional Mens Team champions. MPCC solidified their lead over Black Hills State University at the final rodeo.
Rowdy Moon, a Taylor, Nebraska native, rode two head at the final rodeo to capture the regional title in the Barebacks as well. Rowdy will travel to Casper, Wyoming in June to compete at the College National Finals Rodeo, one of the most competitive rodeos in the world. Local cowboys, Shane Weber of Burwell, and JW Schroder of Taylor, were also members of the Mid-Plains Community College champion mens team. Weber finished fourth in the regional standings in the Saddle Broncs.
