Nebraska Head Coach Darin Erstad was named Big Ten Coach of the Year yesterday after leading the University of Nebraska baseball team to its first ever Big Ten regular season conference title.
Erstad, in his first head coaching job, has guided the Huskers to a 34-18-1 record this season. Nebraska’s 16-7-1 conference record earned them the title over Michigan.
Nebraska is the #1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, which starts tonight in Bloomington, Indiana. The Huskers will take on #8 Purdue to start tournament play.
