In recognition of National Men’s Health Month, the Valley County Health System Medical Staff and clinicians offer the following recommendations to men to lead healthy, safe, and fulfilling lives:
Get seven to nine hours of sleep each night.
Kick the tobacco habit.
Get at least 2.5 hours of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week, as well as strength train two or more days every week.
Eat a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy carbohydrates and fats every day.
Stifle stress.
Practice preventative care.
