(Lincoln,Neb.) The Nebraska150 Celebrations Truckin Through Nebraska:A Mobile Childrens Museum will be at the Valley County Fairgrounds in Ord from Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23.
Hours of operation are as follows:
Friday,
July 21: 4:00 8:00 pm
Saturday,
July 22: 9:00 am 1:00 pm
Sunday,
July 23: 11:00 am 3:00 pm
Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend. While exhibits in the Mobile Childrens Museum are intended for children ages 5-12, audiences of all ages are welcome.
The Mobile Childrens Museum is on a 26-week, 42-community tour acrossNebraska now through October 2017.
First Lady Susanne Shore said, We created the Mobile Childrens Museum to provide a fun, hands-on learning experience for children who may not normally be able to easily access a childrens museum. Through play, interactivity and the latest technology, Nebraskas children will explore their heritage and envision their futures. We hope the experience will help power the imagination and create an excitement about learning.
The Mobile Museums presence in our local community will provide local and visiting children and families with an educational and entertaining experience as they learn about our great state shared Kristina Foth with the Ord Area Chamber of Commerce. It also offers a memorable activity that brings families together who may not otherwise have the opportunity to connect.

initiative. A project of this magnitude requires a huge commitment on
the part of the communities we will visit, including extensive

The Mobile Childrens Museum is contained in a 53-foot, state-of-the-art, custom air-ride, double-expandable trailer that is specially designed and outfitted for traveling museum exhibits. The unit is climate controlled, has GPS tracking, Wi-Fi, its own generator and is ADA accessible.
