The Valley County Health Systems called the board meeting to order Wednesday evening for their monthly board meeting.
In new business, the annual appointment of board committees was passed and committees stayed the same with the same people. The quality report was given which is given quarterly as well as the safety report.
Medical Staff Appointments and Reappointments was passed. Trauma Resolution was passed as well.
During the CEO Report for July 2017, it was announced by CEO Nancy Glaubke that VCHS joined the Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII). NeHII is a secure, web-based health information exchange aimed at improving care coordination statewide. This will provide a comprehensive view of a patients medical history and make available during emergencies, or the patient receives care from a different institution in the state. Patients lab results, x-ray reports and medication prescriptions can be accessed by participating members of NeHII.
The next monthly board meeting is set for August 16, 2017 at 7:00 pm.
