Kryssiah Felton, a coder/biller at Valley County Health Systems (VCHS), recently earned her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certication from the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Medical coding is transforming healthcare diagnoses, procedures and services into universal medical codes for medical documentation and billing purposes. The most recognized medical coding certification in the healthcare industry, the CPC enhances Felton’s knowledge and ability to maintain compliance and profitability for VCHS through accurate coding and documentation. Felton completed the coursework and a related test to earn the certification.
Felton said she also plans to earn her Certified Professional Biller certification in the future.
