Ord,Nebraska — The Valley County Community Foundation Fund (VCCFF) is having The Vibrant Future Fund Celebration. The celebration will have a free concert on Sept. 30 featuring The BlueStem Band.
The concert will start at 7:00 pm at the Golden Husk Theatre in Ord.
The Vibrant Future Fund Campaign has a challenge of raising $500,000 in unrestricted endowment funds. For every $2.00 donated in unrestricted gifts to the endowment, the Sherwood Foundation will grant $1.00 in endowment funds, up to a maximum of $250,000.
So far, VCCFF has received over $300,000 in donations and pledges to date. The campaign will go through till December 31, 2018.
An additional $35,000 plus in annual endowment payouts will be invested in the people of Valley County for generations to come.
The BlueStem Band plays Acoustic American Roots Music by Nebraska Musicians. Bluestem is native to Nebraska as bluegrass is to Kentucky. This Nebraska-based band utilizes traditional bluegrass instruments to generate an eclectic style of music, ranging from old-time, to a delightful stop in the 70’s, to contemporary selections. Rich harmonies, together with great instrumentation, will be sure to please your ear.
