Mid-Plains Community College bull rider, of Norfolk, Garrett Wickett was the recipient of a $750 scholarship from NEBRASKAland Days during the MPCC Stampede on Saturday at the Wild West Arena.
The Scholarship funds came from a combination of entry fees from NLD’s Cowboy Kickball Competition in June and NLD funds.
Elliot and Garrett Nokes, MPCC Rodeo Team timed event coach, selected Wickett for the scholarship based on his performance in the arena and classroom, leadership skills, volunteerism and promotion of the team.
