At 10:17 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, two women were injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash southwest of Ravenna.
The driver, Bonnie Hake, 40, of Ravenna was driving a 1997 Ford Expedition south on Poole Road from the Ravenna-Pleasanton cut-across, also known as 340th Road. She lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center of the road. Hake over corrected to the right, and the SUV ran off the road entering the west ditch where it rolled once.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s report says, the crash was caused because the women were arguing and had hit an area of loose gravel.
Hake was ejected. The Buffalo County Sheriff’s report says the SUV landed on its wheels in the west ditch pinning Hake underneath. Both Hake and her passenger, Erin Trotter, 34 of St. Paul, were not restrained.
