Schroder named NPCC Business Student of the Month

JW Schroder – JW Schroder, of Taylor, has been named Business Student of the Month at North Platte Community College. Schroder is a saddle bronc rider on the colleges rodeo team.

A Taylor man has been selected as North Platte Community Colleges Business Student of the Month for October.

JW Schroder graduated from Loup County High School in 2016. He is currently pursuing an Associate of Science degree at NPCC.

I selected NPCC because I had friends already attending, said Schroder. Since Ive been here, the faculty has prepared me to transfer to a bigger school and be successful in life.

Schroder is on track to graduate in May of 2018. After that, he plans to transfer to the University of NebraskaLincoln and study agriculture banking.

Until then, Schroder will keep busy with his studies and extracurricular activities at NPCC. Those include competing on the colleges rodeo team, participating in STEM Club and serving through Phi Theta Kappa.

JW is a remarkable young man with a strong character and work ethic, said Cathy Nutt, business instructor. In addition to that, he is a very likable person who is pleasant to be around and visit with. I appreciate his hard work and the goals he has set to reach his vision for the future.

Schroder enjoys riding horses and hunting in his spare time. His parents are John and Belinda Schroder.
