After several years of no qualifiers from both boys and girls Wheeler High Cross Country teams, both teams have earned the opportunity to attend the State Meet in Kearney this Friday.
The team will be leaving the school around 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon while being escorted by a fire truck, police car and ambulance.
Businesses and other community members and supporters are encouraged to go downtown Wheeler to cheer on the teams as they drive through main street.
