The Annual 2017 Nebraska Cattlemen Convention and Trade Show will be taking place in Kearney at the Younes Convention Center this year on December 5-8. This year’s convention will have industry leaders, speakers and educational opportunities for all.
Starting on Tuesday, Dec. 5, it will be with the 2017 Cattlemen’s College. At the Buffalo County Fairgrounds Ag Pavilion, it will allow for a day of classroom speakers as well as time at the chute. The program will off a wide range of speakers discussing nutrition, cover crop, vaccinations and more all designed to address issues that will improve production and profitability. The college will end the day with a networking reception, NCBA update and panel on labor issues.
Wednesday will take place at the Younes Center with the Young Cattlemen’s Round-table, with the goal to inspire members to get involved in the Nebraska Cattlemen and experience the benefits of the organization. Council meetings will fill the rest of the day and Wednesday will finish with the General Session and the Welcome Reception in the Trade Show.
Wrapping up on Thursday evening, Dec. 7, at 7:00 pm will be the annual banquet. Cattlemen will be recognized for their dedication to the industry, items will be up for grabs during the live auction as well as food.
Convention will conclude on Friday after the Market Outlook Breakfast and the Annual Business Meeting.
