Valley County Health System Infection Control Coordinator Kate Morse, RN, was honored at the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) Caring Kind Luncheon along side 75 other hospital workers statewide on Oct. 27. Morse received the award during the awards banquet which was held in conjunction with the annual NHA Convention in La Vista, Nebraska.
This award is made to recognize hospital and health system employees in Nebraska who go above and beyond the call of duty, demonstrating compassion, service excellence and teamwork within their job duties and organization.
Morse’s work at VCHS ranges from promoting and educating about proper hygiene and infection prevention practices to assisting with surgeries to conducting new employee screenings.
VCHS nominates its organizational Employee of the Year for this honor each year.
