On Tuesday at approximately 3:30 PM, a Litchfield man on a test drive in a 2004 Nissan Maxima off of the Turbo Auto Sales car lot never returned the vehicle to the dealership. The Maxima left the dealership driven by Joshua Lewandowski at 3:30 PM and was located at 410 N. Broadwell Ave., reported at 5:20 PM that Lewandowski had not come back.
Early Wednesday morning Grand Island Police Officer David Gerhardus made a traffic stop on the vehicle at 3625 W. Old Potash Highway. The vehicle had been reported stolen and still had the dealer plates on it.
The 30 year old was arrested on a Class 4 felony charge of theft for the vehicle, which has a value of $4,900. He is also facing a misdemeanor theft charge for the dealer plate.
Lewandowskis passenger, Raquel Bloom, 28, of Ashton, was arrested on a Valley County warrant for probation violation. Police say, Bloom was suspected for methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia which were found in a purse and bag belonging to Bloom.
