As of Monday, Nov. 20, Police have no new information on the case of Sydney Loofe, a 24-year-old female, of Lincoln, and Neligh native. Investigators continue to chase leads after she went on a date Wednesday with a woman she met online.
She was reported a missing person on Nov. 16 after she didnt show up to work at Menards on Lincolns 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
The night before, she sent friends a Snapchat message about a date she had planned.
It was reported by a police spokeswoman that her last known location was Wilber, Nebraska, 40 miles southeast of Lincoln. Her phone has since been disabled, according to her family, who is fearing she has been abducted.
Loofes parents have shared photos of their daughters tattoos in hopes it helps someone find Sydney.
Loofe has a yin-yang on one of her forearms, the word Believe with a cross on the inside of her left wrist, and the phrase Everything will be wonderful someday on her right bicep.
She is 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white Columbia jacket and a cream-colored shirt.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information on Loofes whereabouts to contact Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000.
George Loofe hopes his daughter will hear these words: “Tell her we love her, and were waiting for her to come home.”
