For the next three years, until February 2020, former Husker football head coach Mike Riley will be paid $170,000 a month. This is according to ESPN who also says the University owes him just over $6 million on his contract.
Rileys contract was extended this year by former athletic director Shawn Eichorst less than two weeks before he was fired.
In addition to Riley, Bo Pelini is still being paid by Nebraska. Pelini, former head coach, gets $128,000 each month until February 2019.
Former athletic director Shawn Eichorst sits right next to Riley and Pelini in receiving checks from Nebraska. Eichorst is being paid roughly $81,000 a month until June of 2019.
Nebraska Athletics is self-funded, meaning no taxpayer money is going toward these payments.
